Senior Health, Safety and Wellbeing Systems Lead

Your Team:
The role of the Group's Health, Safety and Wellbeing team is to support the Group's commitment to fulfilling corporate and legal health, safety and wellbeing responsibilities by implementing and maintaining systems and processes to provide a safe and healthy place of work.
You will be responsible for:
- Contribute to the successful maintenance and continuous improvement of the Group's Health and Safety Management System (HSMS) in line with legislation and Group objectives.
- Engage with key stakeholders and coordinate the external and/or internal health and safety audit programs for the HSW Systems Manager.
- Contribute to strategies that directly relate to risk management including assessment, analysis and risk mitigation activities primarily driven by the People Risk program, data trends and the Groups enterprise risk management system.
- Analyse risks with in the business to understand their potential impacts, working closely with the Delivery Team to develop risk mitigation strategies and systems of work to address identified people related risk.
- Support the HSW Systems Manager and/or lead the development and coordination of Health, Safety and Wellbeing projects, systems and programs of work.
- Support the broader HSW team in achieving Group objectives, primarily the Governance and Delivery teams.
- Contribute to the identification of areas for improvement to drive a compliant and user friendly management system that is continuously improved.
- Assist in managing system updates and reviews - Pega continuous improvement updates, training content development, new system builds etc.
- Maintain current, extensive knowledge of relevant legislation and state based requirements.
- Support the Delivery Team with urgent Incident management during afternoon hours of operation (east coast after hours).
- Develop professional working relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
- Undertake any other tasks assigned by your Leader that can be competently and safely performed and are within your capability and expertise.
- Occasional travel may be a requirement of this role
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Strong WHS technical skills and application
- In depth knowledge of WHS legislation across varying jurisdictions
- Proficiency in risk assessment and risk mitigation techniques
- Familiarity with conducting internal and external audits
- Extensive professional written and verbal communication skills, including report writing
- Internal and external customer and stakeholder relationship management experience.
