The Federal Government has announced it will deliver a series of Jobs and Skills Expos across the country as part of its ongoing strategy to support jobs and training.

Minister for Employment Participation Kate Ellis and Minister for Human Services Kim Carr today announced the Australian Government will deliver 11 Jobs and Jobs and Skills Expos to link thousands of Australians up to a job.

These Expos are also great for local employers looking for staff - they create a one-stop-shop for jobs and training, bringing together job seekers, employers, employment services providers and training organisations all under one roof,” Ms Ellis said.

The expos will have jobs board with jobs on offer and skills board displaying local skills training opportunities available in the area.

Those interested in exhibiting or advertising a job vacancy at any of the Australian Government Jobs and Skills Expo should call 13 11 58 or visit the website at www.humanservices.gov.au/expos.

Employers can also contact their Local Employment Coordinator at any time to follow up on available assistance. Contact details for Local Employment Coordinators can be found at http://deewr.gov.au/list-local-employment-coordinators.

Australian Government Jobs and Skills Expos are planned in the following regions:
