The federal Digital Transformation Agency (DTA) has reportedly lost close to 40 per cent of its staff since last year.

In a recent machinery of government change, the DTA was moved from Services Australia to the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet. This move came coupled with a new mandate to advise the government on digital matters, and removed previous delivery functions relating to myGov and digital identity to Services Australia and the Australia Taxation Office

Reports this week say 38.2 per cent of staff have left the DTA in the past nine months.
