About the Role

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a confident, trusted, curious and innovative People & Culture Manager to lead the people strategy at our Bunbury facility.

Reporting to the Director People & Culture APAC (Asia Pacific) you will work in collaboration with the broader P&C team across Australian and New Zealand to promote a culture that focusses on the provision of a safe place to work both mentally and physically; allowing people to reach their full potential.  Developing and retaining the quality and quantity of employees needed for the organisation’s operations by evolving, recommending and implementing sound HR policies and practices.

This is a true generalist role, supporting a client group circa 200 employees, where you will be supported by your own dedicated team, helping you to shape the People & Culture agenda to suit the site's needs. 

To be successful in this role, you will have proven capability with the ability to influence, deal with ambiguity and work collaboratively with diverse client groups.  As this is a site-based role, you will be adaptable and agile to meet the changing needs of your client groups.  You will demonstrate a pragmatic and solutions focused approach, whilst thriving in an environment of open feedback and using your initiative to solve challenges.  

In this role, you will

  • Lead the people strategy and delivery of the key people initiatives that support the delivery of the overall Hilton Foods APAC strategy;
  • Provide employee and industrial relations solutions and advice that facilitates promotion of a safe and positive workplace. 
  • Build and promote a team environment focused on working collaboratively with internal customers/stakeholders. 
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement by seeking to improve systems, practices and use of resources in the unit to ensure optimal performance. Share best practice within region.
  • Research and analyse site employment related data and provide insights and recommendations to enhance people processes and workforce engagement.

About you

  • Demonstrated experience as an HRM Generalist - FMCG industry highly desirable – supported by relevant qualifications in Human Resources
  • Demonstrated leadership experience - you will be required to lead a small site-based P&C team and manage the onsite canteen;
  • Strong experiences in Industrial Relations;
  • Proven commercial acumen, demonstrated by executing cultural and business transformation change initiatives which make an impact to profitability and results;
  • Exceptional influencing, communication and stakeholder management skills;
  • Strong relationship skills with demonstrated ability to advise, coach and support the talent & leadership agenda.
