What does the role involve

Reporting to the CEO and operating as part of the Senior Leadership Team, you will oversee all aspects of People and Culture across the organisation to build, maintain, and deliver quality initiatives that drive the achievement of strategic objectives and support the well-being of our employees.

Working in this fast-paced, dynamic business, where no two days are the same, you will confidently collaborate, influence, manoeuvre through change and achieve results at all levels of the business. You will partner with the SLT, providing support and advice and engaging with employees through a pragmatic and consultative approach.

What responsibilities form part of this role?

  • Coordinating the HR strategy to enable the selection, management and development of people within Melrose to achieve the agreed business vision.
  • Owning the end-to-end employee lifecycle, partnering with managers and SLT on all HR matters, including talent acquisition, employee capability, diversity and inclusion, organisational design, succession planning, policy and compliance and employee relations
  • Building strong relationships across all operating functions to understand their people challenges and to proactively address and manage to achieve positive outcomes
  • Developing and sourcing training and development programs that support employee development and the effective implementation of HR processes
  • Contributing to the communication of Melrose’s vision, strategy, policies and procedures throughout the organisation
  • Implementing projects and programs to contribute to a positive culture

Specific skills/qualifications needed

Qualifications required:

  • Degree-qualified, with tertiary qualifications in human resources, organisational development, business or a related field

Experience required will include:

  • Strong background as a HR Manager at a strategic and operational level (minimum 3 –5 years) within an operational/FMCG environment.
  • Proven knowledge of Industrial Relations, including the Fair Work Action and related employment law regulations
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships at all levels of the organisation.
