What are we looking for?
We're seeking a consultative safety professional to join our team in Larapinta. As our site Safety Coordinator you'll focus on delivering change, different ways of thinking, and making a real difference in safety practices.

This role supports DC leaders and line management with safety leadership and technical support, focusing on continually reducing workplace injuries as well as integrating practical and effective Safety initiatives to promote safe workplace behaviour.

Responsible for leading change, you'll also be accountable for:

  • The delivery of timely, accurate, and quality assured safety performance data to business including supporting external benchmarking activities
  • Implementing policies and processes to minimise risks and to achieve compliance
  • Implementing, maintaining and improving Safety & Health programs, systems, tools, and training to support compliance
  • Monitoring and identifying actions resulting from the incident management review process
  • Leading and supporting Operational Managers with positive strategies to promote a positive and resilient SH&E culture for all stakeholders and visitors
  • Liaising with key stakeholders internally and externally in the event of an incident to share investigation outcomes, provide appropriate communication, prevent recurrence and mitigate further liability
  • Fostering the value of inclusion of SH&E considerations and controls in all management processes to champion a safety culture and a safe working environment

Who we are looking for
We're looking for someone who can coach and influence key stakeholders on what good looks like across safety. You'll also demonstrate;

  • Formal qualifications in a related OH&S area
  • Strong experience working in a hands on role
  • Strong project and/or change management skills
  • Comfort with working autonomously and independently
  • Being consultative and creative in your approach to thinking about safety
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills
  • A passion to learn, develop and grow
  • Advanced investigation training, desirable
