Senior Project Manager - Organisational Change

About the company:
Our client is a State Government department making a major business transformation project is now underway to uplift the Division’s portfolio, program, and project management capabilities, including the delivery of key business projects.  They are currently seeking a Senior Project Manager to join their busy team for a temporary assignment until November 2024.

About the role:

• Provide leadership to the project team (internal and external) and its workstreams.
• Support the project sponsor in their championship of the project to the Executive. Management Team and senior project stakeholders.
• Work effectively with the project sponsor and the Executive Management Team on removing project roadblocks and resolving project issues and risks.
• Identify, document, and manage stakeholder expectations in alignment with project scope.
• Identify, document, and manage project risks, issues and dependencies and proactively work towards their resolution.
• Manage the project within its non-financial and financial constraints and report within existing arrangements to the Executive Management Team.

About you:

To be successful in this role, you must have: 

• You will have a strong background working in Portfolio Management, Program Management or Project Management.
• You will ideally have previous experience in Government.
• You will have extensive experience in Project Management and Organisational Change.
• You will ideally have Business Management/Business Administration or other qualifications relevant to the role.
• You will have strong stakeholder engagement skills.
• You will be self-motivated and have strong time management skills.
• You will be results driven, and flexible working in a fast paced and time sensitive environment.

Benefits:

• ASAP Start Date (Pending Police Clearance)
• Casual Temporary Assignment until November 2024
• Full time hours Monday to Friday
• $108.38 per hour + super
• Brisbane CBD Location – close to all major public transport links
