Conference & Events Executive (Relocate to Ayers Rock Resort, NT)

 

About the Role

The role is responsible for coordinating and managing the flow of information pertaining to Conference, Events, Banquet, Outdoor Catering, Weddings and Internal Event business at Ayers Rock Resort.

About you

We are looking for an experienced events manager with background preferably in 5 star hotel and resort operations. You should be capable of delivering upmost customer service, ability to work efficiently with an off-site sales team, work autonomously and as part of a management team. Your expertise in innovation and keen attention to detail will be the key in driving team success. Strong financial skills including budget management and reporting will be highly regarded. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing end to end coordination of all conference, incentive, wedding and event contracts 
  • Preparing run sheets & Event Orders for guest and in house distribution
  • Managing a small and highly productive team
  • Liaising with all hotel departments and external tour operators to ensure client needs are met
  • Directing operational staff to ensure the smooth running of every event
  • Processing of guest accounting
  • Liaise with Business Events team for feedback, new products and sales leads / enquiries
  • Ensure that the level of service quality consistently meets the expectations of clients – both internal and external
  • To develop professional customer relationships and ongoing provision of excellence in customer service (internal and external) demonstrated through customer satisfaction and feedback
  • Actively seek client feedback, and personally resolve client complaints within your level of authority
  • Foster and maintain a C&E team that are skilled in executing the clients vision, from handover to departure
