About the role

Reporting to the People & Culture Manager, the People & Culture Business Partner plays a critical role in the success of our organisation by aligning St John’s values with its business objectives.  The primary responsibility of the Business Partner is to provide comprehensive support to all levels of management and employees and promote a positive workplace culture.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a comprehensive and contemporary understanding of Workplace Legislation, experience writing complex and unique employment contracts and variations and experience interpreting Enterprise Agreements and Industry Awards.

Selection criteria

  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in an Employment Relations role or similar.
  • Strong computer literacy and a background in HRIS and other HR tools.
  • Strong negotiation and mediation skills.
  • Advanced knowledge, experience, interpretation and application of relevant legislation governing employment, human resources, and industrial relations, including the Fair Work Act, Awards and Agreements.
