About the role

We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Employee Experience Manager to join our team on a part-time basis (3 days per week), covering parental leave. Reporting directly to the CEO, the successful candidate will lead the execution of our people strategy to support Queen Victoria Market Pty Ltd’s objectives by building the capacity and resilience of our small team.

What are the key responsibilities?

  • Manage people-related risks and compliance with all relevant workplace legislation and policies.
  • Take the lead with HR projects, including implementing the people strategy and drive initiatives that will enhance culture and employees' well-being.
  • Support the CEO and managers in successfully resolving complex employee relations matters.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to managers through the human resources lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, ongoing development, and retention.
  • Interface with Payroll to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll activities.
  • Champion the desired culture and values of QVM P/L, fostering a sense of belonging and commitment among employees.

What are we looking for?

  • Substantial, proven experience in human resources management, preferably in a similar role within a dynamic and diverse organisation.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant workplace legislation and policies.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organisation.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to align HR initiatives with broader business objectives.
  • Demonstrated passion for creating an exceptional employee experience and driving positive cultural change.
  • Previous experience in Enterprise Agreement negotiations would be advantageous.
