About The Role

As a Culture and Capability Specialist, you will design and manage a range of organisational and capability development initiatives for our global Enterprise Finance function at ANZ.  You’ll work as part of a dedicated People, Culture and Capability team whose purpose is to make Enterprise Finance a better place to work and grow, and which reports directly to the CFO. The team’s priorities and initiatives span culture, capability and talent development, diversity and inclusion, engagement and communication and include both Finance specific initiatives as well as embedding ANZ Talent & Culture priorities.

With a particular (but not exclusive) focus on learning and capability development, you’ll achieve this as you:

  • engage, consult and communicate with multiple stakeholders including senior leaders and employee groups, and partner with colleagues in Talent & Culture and other parts of the bank. 
  • undertake needs analysis through consultation and analysing internal and external data,
  • propose and design plans and solutions such as people processes, learning programs, curricula and pathways, by partnering with internal SMEs and external vendors when appropriate
  • manage and measure projects, programs and events to ensure the successful and impactful delivery of initiatives to achieve our people, capability and culture priorities.
  • support change management activities for function-wide initiatives and strategy.

About You

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Passion: a passion for enabling a fantastic workplace culture and a love of learning, and helping others grow and develop.
  • Capability Development Expertise: deep capability development expertise across both ‘human’ and more technical skills, spanning strategy and solution development, needs analysis, curriculum and content development, learning project management including working with learning vendors.  Ideally you’ll also have some experience of human centred design, instructional design and/or facilitation.  We would also value experience of other OD disciplines, such as culture, inclusion, diversity, career development.
  • Consulting & Relationship Management: Strong collaboration, stakeholder management, and influencing skills to create shared clarity, and an ability to align people around a course of action.  You can consult with and facilitate groups of people to hear different views and perspectives to inform approaches, and help people feel engaged in the goals and journey.
  • Change/project/program management – You use your structured, consultative approach to plan, drive and evaluate improvement/change initiatives or projects end to end, ideally with a people & culture focus
  • Curious and analytical mindset and skills: You’re highly curious and explore data, research, perspectives and best practices to inform solution design, and to measure and track impact and outcomes.
  • Strong visual, verbal and written communication – You use your creative visual and written communication skills to engage people and communicate information, initiatives, projects, ideas or progress decisions.  You are confident speaking in public and with groups.
